What is the difference between a hotel receipt and a hotel folio?
A hotel folio is the running record of all charges posted to your room during your stay; it is the source document. A hotel receipt is what you receive at checkout summarizing those charges. In practice the terms are used interchangeably. Our generator creates both a single-page checkout receipt and a multi-line folio format showing each charge on a dated line. Both are accepted for expense reimbursement and business travel documentation.
