How a parking receipt differs from other service receipts

Sales tax on parking receipts
Several major cities levy a parking tax far higher than the state sales tax. Parking in Manhattan carries a combined 18.375% state and local rate, and Chicago charges 23.25%, San Francisco 25%, and Pittsburgh 37.5% on parking fees. How is valet parking shown on a receipt versus self-parking?
Valet parking receipts include the ticket number used to retrieve the vehicle, the valet attendant station, and the flat valet fee (typically $10-40). Self-park receipts show entry and exit timestamps and the calculated duration charge. Both can show a validation line for partner discounts.
What is an early-bird rate on a parking receipt?
